CRANE 1 has immediate openings for self-driven Industrial Maintenance Electricians to provide scheduled and on-call maintenance and repair support at our customer sites. Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years verifiable industrial work experience.

We focus our industrial services on safety inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting/repairs of overhead cranes and hoists.

Technicians typically work from lifts or service platforms at heights of 40 feet or more, in various industrial environments, and must be able to climb ladders and stand for extended periods of time. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Inspection, maintenance and repair of overhead industrial cranes and hoists to verify safety and compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations plus OSHA and ANSI standards.

  • Troubleshooting, Repairing and Installation of Three Phase AC/DC Electrical Components

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on equipment

  • The ability to communicate with the customer in a professional manner

  • Evaluate and make recommendations to the customer regarding required repairs

  • Provide a high level of communication with both customers and Crane 1 Services office staff

  • Perform all tasks with safety being the top priority at all times.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong Electrical skills required (AC & DC Controls)

  • Minimum of two years Industrial Work Experience

  • 10-hour OSHA certification is required before starting work

  • Fabrication and welding skills desired, but not required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Previous Industrial maintenance or equivalent military experience is preferred.

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting 480vac 3 phase motor control systems.

  • Ability to provide written and/or electronic reports and verbally communicate with customers.

  • This position requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, kneeling and crawling as well as an ability to work at industrial facilities with variable environmental conditions.

  • Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off of the ground.

  • Ability to work varied hours, overtime and/or "on call" as needed.

  • Fabrication and welding skills desired, but not required

  • Associate degree or greater in Industrial/Electrical/Mechanical field, technical diploma or related field, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience, is preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • OSHA 10-Hour safety course (must be completed before hire)

  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.

Compensation and Benefits:
