Honeywell Sheet Metal Worker Level 2 in Muncie, Indiana

The Sheet Metal Mechanic II sets up and operates machines such as, drill presses, punch presses, shears, bending rolls, grinders and numerical control equipment to shape and alter sheet metal according to specifications. He/she follows blueprints, rough sketches or engineer drawings to shape metal accurately and uses hand and power tools to shape and smooth metal and to blend seams.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate soldering and welding equipment

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

Cutting, forming, fabricating all of sheet metal.

Using Sheer and press machines.

Will be operating Laser cutters, working with various sizes material some will require a 2-man lift

Using forklift and pallet jack will train.

Working with sheer.

Reading and understand blueprints

Lifting to 50lbs.

You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED

We Value:

  • Manufacturing experience working with hand and power tools to shape and smooth metal and to blend seams

  • Experience operating machines such as, drill presses, punch presses, shears, bending rolls and grinders

  • Fork lift operator
