Job SummaryProject Director I is a highly-experienced management position responsible for delivering technical services and solutions with enterprise-wide impact. The Project Director analyzes customer requirements from both functional and technical viewpoints to help ensure TCC meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry leading practices, product & technical knowledge, and business acumen. Furthermore, this position will provide advocacy and strategic technical direction to help plan and build solutions using standard methodologies, and enthusiastically keep TCC customer environments operationally healthy. This includes properly scoping projects, attainment and assignment of appropriate resources, daily management of projects to minimize and mitigate risks, and appropriate reporting.
Responsibilities• Manage customer expectations and maintain the client relationship as it pertains to project and service delivery• Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. • Analyzes business needs to help ensure TCC services meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. • Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on aspects of applications and technology installations. • Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively advises customer leadership on key decisions. • Ensure all stakeholders are identified and understand the project schedule, assigned tasks, and key milestones • Track project risk and ensure appropriate resolution, review project deliverables to ensure high quality, and hold formal project reviews• Simultaneously manage multiple sub-projects under the scope of the assigned master project • Ensure proper project execution of workflows, critical paths, and milestones• Manage project scope and change control process• Manage to the project budget, maintain monthly forecasts, and analyze and explain variances• Identify needed resources, requests appropriate resources, and ensures appropriate staffing for the duration of the project to ensure efficient and successful project delivery• Create and manage detailed project plans and reporting• Record labor utilization on the project and create labor utilization forecasts • Assist invoicing by verifying hours worked and invoice totals according to TCC processes• Act as a trustee and steward of the Project Management Methodology by acting as a vocal advocate and continually strive to improve processes, tools, and templates• Work across organization to share lessons learned and best practices• Participate in the RFI and RFP process as requested by the sales/executive team

Required Education and Experience• Minimum of 5 years of overall experience relevant to this position including: o Minimum of 2 years of high level customer facing consulting experience. o Minimum of 3 years of hands-on IT Project Manager experience o Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Windows development environment • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline required• Enterprise customer-facing experience with strong oral and written communication skills, presenting to both large and small audiences • Expert communicator, able to lead demanding enterprise customers even in difficult situations.• Must have the ability to deal with issues of a sensitive nature• Exceptional interpersonal skills (negotiation, team-building, positive thinking, can-do attitude, and flexibility) with the ability to interact with all levels of an organization • Prior supervisory experience and the ability to coach and develop team members effectively • Must possess strong analytical and synthesis skills to identify and resolve complex functional and technical issues • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, including common practices for source code management, version/change control, testing and release processes • Must be able to identify and speak to factors that affect transactional performance, throughput, and scalability. Experience with Angular highly desired
