WSP is currently initiating a search for Construction Engineers based out of our WSP Indianapolis office and working from multiple field offices in the INDOT Laporte, Crawfordsville , and Seymour districts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing inspection, testing and project documentation on INDOT road and bridge projects

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field
5+ years’ experience in construction engineering and inspection of DOT Road and Bridge Projects
Computer skills (Specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel)
Experience with Construction Administration software required
Experience in supervising inspection staff
Experience in direct coordination with contractor’s supervision
Must be an effective communicator, both written and oral
INDOT Qualified Tester for field testing/sampling of soils, concrete, hot mix asphalt, etc.
Experience on INDOT projects (Knowledge of Specifications; DOT Policies and Procedures; Structural Concrete; Bridge Deck construction; Earthwork; Subgrade/subbase construction; Road and Bridge Repair and Rehabilitation; Concrete Paving; Hot Mix Asphalt Paving)
Experience with SiteManager software
Current INDOT Qualification preferred, but evidence of past qualifications or ability to achieve required certifications within 4 weeks of being hired is acceptable
