This position will work closely with the EHS Manager to ensure health & safety programs and management systems are in place and effective to minimize the risks to Team Members, the environment and community. Position would also understand and ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations pertaining to environmental protection or occupational health and safety.
Key Tasks:
Develop and/or implement safety related programs to minimize risk to employees, customer and the environment.
Develop and drive Ergonomic improvement while keeping alignment with other business objectives.
Investigate accidents and specify corrective actions
Complete process safety reviews and develop recommendations for addressing process safety issues
Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes
Conduct or coordinate worker training as required in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce Team Members exposure to work hazards
Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents
Provide project support, including support for process engineering to the full development of process packages
Collaborate with teams to discover and implement long-term process improvement efforts

Basic Qualifications:
An Associate degree is required, in a relevant subject, technical or engineering.
Working knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements, codes and standard in their EH&S discipline. Evaluates and specifies work methods, design requirements, procedures and policies.
Ergonomics Training
OSHA Training
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject, technical or engineering
A minimum of 2 years' experience of Safety process engineering in a continuous flow manufacturing environment. Providing floor support through and on, 5-S, Kanban, and other lean initiatives.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in heavy equipment industry.
Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional
Thorough understanding of TBS / TPS / lean concepts gained through application and improvement in actual manufacturing leadership positions. Experience leading kaizen events.
Track record of high-level problem-solving skills and management experience in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment.
Experience in CAD, i.e. Autocad, Solidworks preferred
Ability to work at a high level under pressure is desired
