Our advanced, heat-recovery cokemaking process produces high quality coke for use in steelmaking. We are currently recruiting for the following position at our East Chicago plant. ElectriciansThis position will have the responsibility to:Perform all electrical repairs and PMs necessary to maintain all operating and service equipmentMake repairs and adjustments for proper operation and maintenance of overhead cranes, conveyors, building, and mobile equipmentRepair, replace, install, and dismantle assemblesAdjusts, maintains and lubricates motors, generators, exciter sets, control panels, relays, interlocking control systems, circuit breakers, static switching units, and electronic devicesApplies practical knowledge of AC/DC electrical principles and basic industrial electronicsAbility to interpret and analyze electrical blueprints, schematic and wiring diagramsAssembles and aligns pinions, gears, bearings, couplings, and shifts along with repairs and installs on pneumatic and hydraulic valves.High school diploma or GED required. Completed electrical apprenticeship preferred. Five years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting strongly preferred.Applicants must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work shift work including weekends and holidays are required.
