WHAT WE NEED
Electrical maintenance and support
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our electrician provides complete electrical support – inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing instruments and electrical systems – for our facilities. The electrician is responsible for keeping systems and equipment in safe working order while also meeting code requirements. It’s a job with some independence and plenty of work to do.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assist in the temporary shutdown of facility electrical equipment, systems, and electrical components necessary for renovation, repair, and new construction projects.
Design, construct, install and remove various facility electrical equipment, systems, and electrical components.
Diagnose malfunctions in facility electrical equipment, systems, or electrical components and take appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
Maintain appropriate documentation for the facility’s electrical equipment, systems, and electrical components.
Maintain appropriate inventory of replacement electrical equipment and systems.
Maintain the computerized maintenance management system through the appropriate completion of work orders and the recording of equipment history.
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all facility electrical equipment, systems, and components in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Provide quality control for new installations or replacements of facility electrical equipment, systems, and electrical components performed by others.
Respond to emergency situations such as an electrical outage, ruptured pipe, fires or other hospital codes per hospital and department emergency response plans.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
Prior experience in an electrical field and/or hospital maintenance or construction.
Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities.
Basic knowledge of computer software, hardware, and communication devices to perform tasks.
Basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
Customer service skills.
Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.
Develop own ways of working effectively and efficiently.
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
Learn quickly and through multiple channels.
Maintain composure, even in very difficult situations.
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNREC, and JCAHO safety codes, regulations, and requirements.
Read and interpret construction documents.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards associated with hospital facilities.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
