NTN DRIVESHAFT INC, a world leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry, is currently seeking a qualified ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER for our Columbus Indiana operation. NTN currently has 1700 employees working in our Columbus operation and customer demand for our product is growing rapidly. NTN Driveshaft manufactures Constant Velocity Joints (CVJs) for all of the major automotive companies. These customers include Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler and most other automotive OEMs. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESEnsures effective and sustainable EHS systems, programs and processes.Compliance with federal and state EHS regulations Form R, Tier 2, Title V, OSHA logs, etc.Apply EHS goals and objectives Maintain Health and Safety records and required Environmental permits, licenses and documents.Manages EHS job functions for duties such as job safety analyses/risk assessments, EHS training, workplace incident analyses, industrial hygiene evaluations, EHS inspections, environmental regulatory reporting, permit negotiation, data collection / analysis and internal audits.Conducts ergonomic risk assessments and makes appropriate recommendations.Evaluates new hazardous materials to ensure compliance in EHS requirements and facility procedures.Assists in EHS reviews for new product development, facility modification, product manufacturing modifications and new equipment/machinery installations.Applies EHS principles, theories and concepts and uses independent judgment to develop and design practical solutions to EHS issues.Assists in emergency and spill response plans, and disaster preparedness plans materials and equipment. Oversee facility emergency response team to ensure appropriate training, practices drills and equipment are in a ready-state.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field (chemistry, biology) and 4 years of experience in environmental, health and safetyExperience in Indiana environmental, health and safety regulatory complianceAble to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.Able to work under very general supervision.Experience in Workers Compensation, Health and Wellness or Ergonomics NTN Driveshaft offers competitive wages and a full range of comprehensive benefits that far exceed the industry standard.
