Description
JOB SUMMARY: Maintains safe and secure environment for employees, customers, visitors, and other assets by patrolling and monitoring company premises while working a specified shift with other Security Officers. Responds to and resolves incoming calls from employees, customers, and other parties. Monitors department phone, email, fire alarm, severe weather, silent alarm, environmental controls, and facilities camera systems. Collaborates with local authorities in the event of emergencies. This role is scheduled on an as needed basis to provide vacation relief and sick coverage.
Qualifications
EDUCATION , EXPERIENCE , SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS :
High school graduate or equivalent
1 year related experience or training preferred
Basic computer skills and functional knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs
Must possess a valid driver’s license
CPR/AED and First Aid certification required
Must have flexible schedule; ability to work varied shifts (days, evenings, nights, holidays) including weekends
Ability to walk 3 – 4 hours per shift; must be physically able to work in all weather conditions
Ability to work independently
Team player
Excellent observation skills
Customer service oriented
Ability to deal with stressful or potentially dangerous situations
